Hyderabad: The Telangana School Education Department has declared the results of the 1st and 2nd year board exam on Tuesday. Over 60 percent of the intermediate students, both first and second years, have cleared their intermediate exams. The pass percentage has improved this year compared to the last 5 years in the state. The syllabus was cut short to 70 per cent this year for the intermediate examinations and students were also given a lot of choices.

Out of 4,14,380 students who appeared for the exam, 2,68,763 passed in Intermediate first year exam. While 72.88 per cent of girls have passed, 56.65 per cent of boys were successful in the exam. In vocational, 50,512 students have appeared for the exam out of which 25,615 were declared passed out. Adding general and vocational, 4,64,892 students had appeared for the first year exams, out of which 2,94,378 passed. A total of 17 students were booked under malpractice and results of 16 were kept under withheld.

Out of 3,92,258 students who appeared for the inter second year exam, 2,69,431 have cleared it. While 76.10 per cent girls cleared the second year exam, 61.26  per cent boys were declared passed out. Among the second year students, 58 were booked under malpractice and results of 46 were kept under withheld.

Intermediate examinations were conducted in the state from May 5 to May 24, wherein 9.07 lakh students appeared for the Intermediate first and second year examinations at 1,443 Examination Centres. Spot valuation of answer scripts was conducted by nearly 15,000 evaluators at 15 spot valuation centres. Practical examinations were conducted from March 21 to April 08 at 1883 examination centres.

Medchal district had the highest pass percentage of 78 per cent in the general second year exams, while Medak had the lowest figure of 47 per cent. In the vocational second year exams, students from Narayanpet fared the best with 76 per cent clearing the exam, while Siddipet had the lowest pass percentage of 47 per cent.

In first year exam, Medchal and Medak fared the best and worst with pass percentages of 76 and 40, respectively. In the vocational exams, Narayanpet had the highest figures of 75 while Jagityal had the lowest with just 34 per cent students declared passed out.
 
The three divisions of Hyderabad districts did not fare too well. For first year exams, 61 per cent students passed in Hyderabad-I and Hyderabad-II, and 63 per cent cleared the exam in Hyderabad-III. In the second year exams, Hyderabad I, II and III registered pass percentage of 61, 65 and 65, respectively.

Girl students performed better than boys in all the exams. They have a pass parcentage of 57 per cent compared to the boys’ 36 per cent in the second year exams. For first year students, girls and boys registered pass percentage of 50 and 38, respectively.

In the general stream, first years:
62.74 per cent of students had passed in 2018.
60.60 percent of students had passed in 2019.
61.07 percent of students had passed in 2020.
100 percent of students had passed in 2021.
64.85 percent of students have passed in 2022.

In the general stream, second years:
67.08 per cent of students had passed in 2018.
64.94 percent of students had passed in 2019.
69.61 percent of students had passed in 2020.
100 percent of students had passed in 2021.
68.68 percent of students have passed in 2022.

For 1st and 2nd year candidates there is a provision for recounting and supply of scanned copy-cum-re-verification of valued answer scripts. The candidates who wish to apply for recounting or re-verification cum the scanned copy of valued answer script; have to pay online, an amount of Rs.100 per paper for recounting and Rs.600 per paper for scanned copy-cum-re-verification of answer book, through BIE website
http://tsbie.cqg.gov.in, Student Online Services. Fee for Recounting / Scanned copy-cum-re-verification can be paid from 30-06-2022 to 06-07-2022.

The online service will be stopped after the due date and no further extension of service will be available. Under no circumstance the manual submission after due date will be entertained. The fee paid onwards recounting/scanned copy-cum-re-verification will not be refunded.

The candidate has to select the subject / subjects he/she wants to apply for Recounting / Scanned copy cum re-verification and has to furnish his/her complete address, email ID and mobile number.

The candidates have to apply for his/her own answer book and obtaining scanned copy of other candidates is an offence.

Advanced supplementary theory exams will be held from August 1 to 10 in two sessions; and practical examination will be held from July 26 2022 to July 30 2022. Students can pay the advanced supplementary examination fee from 30-06-2022 to 06-07-2022 at their respective colleges.

The results of the candidates who appeared for first year and second year IPE, May 2022 for general and vocational courses are finalised.
