Warangal: The police personnel are performing their duties sincerely and solving different kind of cases with ease. That is why political leaders do not interfere in their work, said Panchayat Raj minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao while inaugurating the newly-established police station at the agriculture market here in Enumamula, Hanamkonda district, on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dayakar Rao said that the Enumamula agriculture market had a great history and it is the responsibility of everyone to protect it. The market was set up during the reign of former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh late N.T. Rama Rao and today it is one of the biggest agriculture market in the country, he said.

The minister stated that several changes have taken in the police stations compared earlier ones which lacked proper facilities. “In the past, police personnel used to face problems. I used to send vehicles to the police stations during the reign of TDP government when I was president of the Warangal Jeep Driver Association”, he said.

After the formation of Telangana state, the TRS government renovated and provided modern facilities in the police stations across the state along with sanctioning of Rs 30,000 every month for their maintenance.

“Earlier, the salaries of Home Guards were very less, but Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao enhanced their salary. By rendering better services, police personnel must bring a good name to the state government”, he added.

Police commissioner Ranganath said that Enumamula police station will play a key role in the maintenance of law and order and will be helpful for the farmers and people living in 15 villages which surround the police station.

The official stated that after Hyderabad, Warangal is the fastest growing city and efforts are being made to streamline traffic system, among others. The new police station has all kinds of infrastructure facilities which will help in checking anti-social activities in this region, he added.

Wardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh, district collector B. Gopi, East Zone DCP Venkata Lakshmi, Mamnoor ACP Naresh and corporator T.Sulochana were present along with others.
