SRINAGAR: An army man has gone missing from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources said army man Javed Ahmed Wani R/o Asthal Kulgam has gone missing since yesterday evening when he had left home to purchase some food.
The soldier, who is posted in Leh, Ladakh, was on leave.
According to sources, the car in which he was travelling was found in the adjoining village late last night.
After coming to know about the soldier going missing mysteriously, police, army and CRPF have launched a search operation in the Asthal and other adjoining villages in Kulgam to track down the missing soldier.
The combing operation was going on when reports last poured in.
