Vijayawada: A woman YSRC activist complained to the Vijayawada cyber crime police on Sunday, alleging supporters of Telugu Desam on social media had given rape threats and morphed nude pictures of her.The victim, identified as Suchitra, demanded action against the accused.Suchitra stated that she was being harassed by TD supporters as she is active on social media.Suchitra also mentioned that morphed obscene pictures of her and threats of rape had taken a toll on her mentally. “Against this backdrop, I have complained to the police to take action against them,” she said.Cyber crime inspector B. Gunaram said the police will register an FIR after the complainant submits the respective URLs to them. “The URLs submitted by the complainant will be sent to the legal team and based on their recommendations the investigation will be taken up,” the inspector told Deccan Chronicle.
