You might soon consume capsules filled with poop to cure diseases!!

A capsule, filled with poop, currently under trials in the UK, aims to cure the lives of patients battling life-threatening diseases.The capsule — called as ‘crap’sules can be the watershed moment as they significantly help in the treatment of insomnia, Parkinson’s, bowel diseases and even cancer, say scientists.The crapsules incorporate a technique called Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT) technique, where the stool and gut material of a healthy person is administered into an unwell person, in a bid to cure them.The new FMT technique is also extensively studied by scientists.Rick Dallaway, a London man became the first person in July this year to finish the FMT treatment to cure his rare liver disease.Gut of every person are filled with millions of microorganisms, which help the body perform many of its functions with an emphasis on immunity.An unhealthy lifestyle can disrupt the balance of the micro-organisms in the gut, making the unhelpful microbes more prominent than the helpful ones.Experts believe that the FMT technique is an effective way to restore the good microbes in the gut.
