BHOPAL: A female staffer of a government hospital in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district has lodged a complaint with police that a phone caller who claimed to be from the PMO duped her to pay Rs 42,000 for bringing her daughter back from Ukraine.
Vaishali Wilson said that she received a call on Wednesday. The caller introducing himself as Prince, who works for the PMO in Delhi. “He said the government was working on safe return of Indian students. He asked me to transfer Rs 42,000 to a bank account for urgently arranging tickets for bringing my daughter back. We promptly transferred the sum on Wednesday, but neither I nor my daughter has received any air ticket to India,” she said.
