Vigilance Serves Notice to HCA CEO on Irregularities

Hyderabad: Vigilance and enforcement (V&E) officials, who conducted searches at the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), issued a notice to HCA CEO Sunil Kante seeking detailed records related to irregularities in documents and transactions.P. Srinivas from the regional V&E office served the notice, requesting information on the procedures for tenders, purchases and the awarding of IPL contracts, as well as details regarding other HCA events and matches.The notice demanded comprehensive records, including approval documents from the Apex Council and general body, tender notifications, bidder lists, successful bidders, award letters, agreements, invoices, cheque payments, delivery records and store inventory.Additionally, the officials sought details of IPL-related contracts for catering, transportation and other services from March 11, 2020, to the present. They also inquired about the status of turf wicket preparations in Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad districts, requesting explanations for any delays.The notice further requested information on the multi-level parking project at HCA, acknowledgments of financial statements shared with the current Apex Council members, the team sizes for Ranji Trophy and other state-level matches, and the corresponding player details for 2022, 2023 and 2024.Finally, the officials asked for a breakdown of BCCI grants — annual, infrastructure, and women’s cricket grants — along with utilization details for the past three years (2022-2024).
