Hyderabad: Irrigation and civil supplies minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy urged Congress leaders and workers to put in strategic and dedicated efforts to secure victory in the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ constituency election on February 27.Calling the election highly prestigious, he emphasised that the election victory would serve as a stepping stone for the upcoming local body polls.During a video conference with Congress leaders from Karimnagar district on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy outlined a clear strategy for the election campaign. As the district in-charge minister, he participated in the nomination filing of Congress candidate Narendra Reddy on Monday. Later, he held discussions with party leaders, stressing the need for strong grassroots mobilisation and an aggressive campaign.He urged party members to effectively communicate the Congress government’s achievements, highlighting key milestones such as the recruitment of over 11,000 teachers and the filling of 55,000 government vacancies within a year, benefiting students and youth.Uttam Kumar Reddy also emphasised the importance of publicising the government’s efforts in employment generation, welfare schemes and governance reforms to strengthen the party’s outreach.“These elections are a dress rehearsal for the local body polls. If we capitalise on the momentum, Congress can secure a landslide victory in MPTC and ZPTC elections,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said, calling on party workers to be proactive and ensure every vote is secured.
