BENGALURU: State president of Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy on Friday released a copy of a note of Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) wherein Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi reportedly ‘insisted’ alternate plots from MUDA (2014) in lieu of her losing 3.16 acres to MUDA. Then, Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister from 2013-18.Kumaraswamy said “There is a MUDA note that alternate plots should be allotted at 50:50 ratio, as insisted upon by petitioner Parvathi (CM’s wife)” and sought answer from Siddaramaiah over the note in MUDA records.He questioned Siddaramaiah “You keep denying your and your family’s involvement in the MUDA plot allocations” and asked CM “There is a record from MUDA. What do you say about it?”Sharing the copy of MUDA note on a social networking site, Kumaraswamy pointed to the rejection by Parvathi to be compensated by MUDA with the market rate for her losing 3.16 acres in survey number 454 of Kesare of Mysuru city to MUDA and referring to the letter, he stated CM’s wife also turned down compensation of 40:60 ratio offered by MUDA.Kumaraswamy wanted Siddaramaiah to “Why don’t you go through the records with open eyes?” By pointing at the note of MUDA, the Union Minister questioned the Chief Minister “The note said ‘insisted,’ (to allot alternate plots for CM’s wife) and under such circumstances what else MUDA officials do?It may be recalled here Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said his wife Parvathi in 2014 and in 2021 asked MUDA to compensate for her losing land to MUDA.Siddaramaiah said his wife Parvathi’s requisition to MUDA in 2021 asked for alternate plots on October 10, 2021 and later the then MUDA Commissioner issued an official order to allot 38, 284 square feet of land when Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was in power in Karnataka.
