Hyderabad: Two workers of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme were crushed to death after heavy boulders fell on the victims at Govardhana Giri village of Siddipet district on Thursday. Two other workers suffered injuries.The deceased were identified as K Sarojana, 45 and her daughter A Mamatha, 28, residents of Govardhanagiti village of Akkanapet mandal of Siddipet.According to police, the women were working in soil digging at Govardhanagiri village. Suddenly, two heavy boulders fell on the victims. In the mishap, mother and daughter were crushed to death. two other women suffered injuries. The locals noticed the mishap and informed the 108 medical emergency service staff.The police removed boulders from the place to recover two bodies.
