Nalgonda: Minister for irrigation and civil supplies N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Friday averred that Telangana witnessed development in all sectors in one year rule of the Congress.Along with minister for roads and buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and minister for transport Ponnam Prabhakar, he inspected the arrangements for programmes to be attended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at Brahmana Vellamla Project and Government Medical College building at Nalgonda on Saturday.Speaking to media, he said that the Congress government worked with four principles i.e. social justice, inclusive growth, welfare and development. It’s administration is as per the aspirations of people, the minister said, adding the government is committed to fulfilling all its promises to people. He said efforts are on to make Hyderabad a global city.At the same time, the state government has accorded equal priority to development infrastructure and amenities in rural areas also, he maintained.He said the Chief Minister will present a progress card on one year rule of the Congress at the public meeting at Nalgonda Venkat Reddy said the Congress government resumed work on irrigation projects which were taken up by the earlier Congress government but cold-shouldered by the BRS government.As part of it, works of Srisailam Left Bank Canal and Brahmana Vellamla Project were spedded up. The Chief Minister will launch the distributory channel of Brahmana Vellamla Project on Saturday. Irrigation would be provided to 50,000 acres through the project within three months.Listing out the welfare schemes taken up by the state government, he reminded that 50 lakh families benefited from free electricity to domestic connections up to 200 units. It was also extending LPG gas refill at a cost of Rs 500 per cylinder. Free bus travel facility in TGRTC buses was also provided to women, he added.
