Hyderabad: Telangana State Women’s Commission chairman Sharada Nerella directed the panel’s Secretary to issue notices to all those members who had tied rakhi to BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao during his visit to the panel’s office in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. KTR visited the office after being summoned by the Commission. She condemned the members being involved in the act. Sharada said that disciplinary action will also be initiated against the members involved in showing their bias towards a particular political leader. “Being the member of the Women’s Commission, it is imperative to maintain impartiality and uphold the integrity of the institution. Taking sides or engaging in any such conduct that may raise questions about the neutrality of the Commission is entirely unacceptable,” she said. Further, she said that such behavior also compromises the dignity and impartiality that the Commission is bound to maintain.
