Hyderabad: Students from the Telangana Social Welfare Gurukul Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS) have won gold medals at a art competition organised by Dream Family, an arts and culture organisation based in Mumbai, recently. The online competition, held in March, featured 271 participants from across India. Of these, 29 were students from TGSWREIS schools. The event included categories such as handwriting, drawing, colouring, collage, best out of waste, and cartoon drawing. All 29 students from the gurukul schools secured top honours in their respective categories, earning gold medals and certificates of appreciation. An official letter of appreciation was sent to the Principal of TGSWREIS, Uppal which acknowledged the students’ achievements. Their success was guided by art teacher Ms Snigdha, who prepared the students for the contest. “Our students consistently excel not only in academics but also in cultural and extracurricular activities,” said Dr Alagu Varshini, secretary of TGSWREIS. She praised the efforts of Principal B. Venkateshwar and Snigdha and added that the performance of the students demonstrated the society’s commitment to holistic education and development of every aspect of a child’s personality.
