Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday expressed Telangana’s aspiration to compete globally in development while maintaining cordial relations with neighbouring states.Sharing the stage with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the “Country Strategic Dialogue” roundtable meeting held under the auspices of the WEF in Davos, Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of cooperation on shared resources, like the Krishna and Godavari rivers, which flow through all three states.“I am very happy to share the stage with my esteemed colleagues from neighbouring states. Our priority is development, and Telangana, with Hyderabad as its capital, aims to compete with global cities like New York and Tokyo,” said Revanth Reddy.Revanth Reddy outlined Telangana’s vision to become a trillion-dollar economy, emphasising urbanisation, IT, pharma, and agro-industries. He also discussed the development of rural areas through agro-allied industries and the promotion of exports.“We are committed to policies that promote long-term, sustainable development. Trust us, invest in Telangana,” he urged global investors, noting the state’s strength lies in its youth and transparent governance.Sameer Saran, the president of the Observer Research Foundation, moderated the session, where the Chief Ministers also addressed topics like welfare, technology, and job creation.
