Hyderabad: The state government wants to bring in Rs.15,000 crore investments into the tourism sector by 2030, minister Jupally Krishna Rao said on Friday. The state wanted to create 3 lakh jobs in the sector, double the number of tourists, and become one of the top five tourist destinations in India.Krishna Rao shared these plans while presenting the state’s tourism policy at the 20th South Asia Hotels Investment Conference in Mumbai. The minister highlighted that the policy has created an unmatched ecosystem for the hospitality sector in India.In a meeting with representatives from leading hotel chains and travel companies, Krishna Rao invited investments in Telangana’s tourism sector. He said the state is focusing on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects and outlined the incentives, concessions, and government support available to investors.The minister detailed plans to establish Telangana as a top destination for domestic and international tourists. The state’s new tourism policy promotes temple, adventure, eco, heritage, medical, and wellness tourism to attract visitors.
