Kurnool: In observance of Arudra Nakshatram on Saturday, officials of the Srisailam temple conducted the Swarna Rathotsavam Seva with religious fervour. Special rituals and poojas were performed by the temple priests to mark the auspicious occasion.As part of the Arudrotsavam, early morning rituals such as Mahanyasapurvaka Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam, Annabhishekam, and other special offerings were made to Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy. Following this, the Swarna Rathotsavam (golden chariot seva) was organised for Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Sri Bhramaramba Ammavaru. The event commenced with archakas reciting the Sankalpam, seeking the well-being of the world. After performing special poojas for the deities placed on the golden chariot, the procession began at 7:30 a.m. The chariot moved from Gangadhara Mandapam to Nandi Mandapam and returned, accompanied by devotional and cultural performances. Folk art forms such as Kolatam, traditional drum performances, and Nama Sankeertanam added vibrancy to the celebrations, drawing large participation from devotees. Temple executive officer M. Srinivasa Rao and other officials took part in the event.
