Hyderabad: Minister D. Sridhar Babu invited Wipro to partner with the state’s Young India Skill University and stressed that the state needed industry-driven training programmes. He urged Wipro to train and recruit talent tailored to its needs and said that Dr Reddy’s Laboratories was providing customised training to 80 unemployed youth to meet its specific requirements.During a meeting on Friday at the Secretariat, Wipro’s chief financial officer Raghav S., briefed the minister on the company’s operations and progress in Hyderabad.Sridhar Babu invited Wipro to consider setting up FMCG production units in Tier-2 cities in the state, leveraging the local talent and infrastructure. He added that the state government was developing mini-industrial hubs for women entrepreneurs in all 117 Assembly constituencies to provide rural populations with employment opportunities.
