ADILABAD: Minister for rural development, Seethakka, on Monday underscored the critical importance of sanitation in villages to curb the spread of seasonal diseases.She stressed the continuation of Pachadanam and Swachadanam as ongoing initiatives.Joined by collector Rajarshi Shah, ITDA project officer Khushbhoo Gupta, SP Gause Alam, additional collector Shyamala Devi, and DFO Prashanth Bhajirao Patil, the minister conducted a comprehensive review of seasonal diseases and drinking water issues in villages at the collectorate.Seethakka mandated the cleaning of water tanks and sumps every fortnight and instructed hostel wardens to maintain clean surroundings in government hostels.The minister was en route to Hyderabad from Sevagram in Wardha, Maharashtra, after attending a program there.
