Kurnool: A 26-year-old youth died by suicide after reportedly being scolded by his parents over his inactivity in R. Kottala village, Anantapur district. According to police, the deceased, identified as Kakarla Raviteja, had completed his higher studies and was unemployed. On Wednesday night, his parents allegedly reprimanded him for his inactivity. Upset by this, Raviteja consumed pesticide while the family was asleep. Family members rushed him to a hospital in Tumakuru, Karnataka, where he was undergoing treatment. However, he died on Thursday. Based on a complaint filed by the family, a case has been registered, said Roddam Sub-Inspector Narendra.
