Khammam: Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said on Sunday that the state government aims to extend welfare benefits exclusively to the poor, ensuring no eligible individual is overlooked while preventing ineligible persons from receiving assistance. During the distribution of sanction letters for four new schemes at Mallepally in Raghunadhapalem mandal, he stressed the importance of financial discipline amid funding challenges inherited from the previous BRS government. Tummala highlighted the crucial role of panchayat secretaries in the effective implementation of the sops.Meanwhile, roads and buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy showcased the government’s commitment to fulfilling electoral promises by launching four new welfare schemes in Khanapur, Mudigonda mandal, Khammam district. He distributed sanction letters to beneficiaries and announced the waiver of Rs 22,000 crore in crop loans within a year. Komatireddy assured that the Congress government remains dedicated to honouring all its promises, including the distribution of fine rice to ration card holders starting from the Ugadi festival. Additionally, he noted that the Indiramma Houses scheme will significantly benefit poor families burdened by high rental costs.
