Visakhapatnam: Two officials of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited excelled at the two-day 35th National Meet of the Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS)being held at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, in New Delhi on February 17 and February 18.Organised under the theme “Create Your Own Sunshine”, the event recognised outstanding contributions of women professionals in public sector enterprises across India. Dr Sujatha Guttala, chief specialist (obstetrics and gynaecology), RINL, has been conferred with the first place for Best Woman Employee Award under the executive category for her compassionate and empathetic service as a gynaecologist. She has been widely recognised for her research, winning multiple awards for her papers at the national level. Reshma Sultana, senior lab technician, Madharam Mines, RINL, has been awarded the second place for Best Woman Employee Award under the non-executive category. RINL has also been honoured with the ‘special participation award’ for its unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment despite challenges. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Vijaya K. Rahatkar, chairperson, National Commission for Women.
