VISAKHAPATNAM: The pensioners of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Gajuwaka MLA and Telugu Desam state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, for his support in securing higher pensions for RINL retirees. A delegation of RINL pensioners, including Vasa Srinivasa Murthy, D. Kumara Swamy, Dwaram Swamy, Duddu Srinivas, and J.A. Swamy, personally met Palla at his residence on Thursday to convey their appreciation for his efforts in addressing their concerns and ensuring a favourable outcome. It may be recalled that RINL’s higher pension aspirants had deposited ₹410 crore over 15 months ago in response to demand notices issued by the local EPFO field office to sanction higher pensions, in line with the Supreme Court’s judgement. The pensioners had approached various grievance redressal mechanisms, including MLA Palla, who actively pursued the matter with the concerned authorities to resolve their issues.
