Telangana people scared to visit Delhi due to rising pollution, says Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy here on Friday demanded that the Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy to focus on sanctioning Rs.1,63,559.31 crore funds for executing various projects in Telangana. In a letter to Kishan Reddy, Revanth Reddy said, “The people of Telangana will be happy if you tell us how you will sanction funds for projects proposed in the interests of the State.” “It is not proper of you (Kishan Reddy) to counterattack on us to cover up your failures under pressure. At least now, focus on special sanctions and funds for projects worth Rs.1,63,559.31 crore related to Telangana,” he said. He said it was highly objectionable on the part of Kishan Reddy for speaking with lack of understanding in spite of making repeated requests to the Prime Minister and Union Ministers concerned about the importance of the projects. “We also explained everything to you about sanctioning the second phase of Metro Rail Project, dry port and Regional Ring Rail Project apart from funds for Regional Ring Road (RRR),” he said. The former Union Ministers S Jaipal Reddy and G Venkataswamy, who were represented in the Central cabinet from the State, made their mark by providing facilities like Hyderabad Metro Rail and pension to Singareni workers. “Let the people know what you, as a Union Minister from Telangana, have done for Telangana. But our goal is only to protect the interests of the people of Telangana,” he said. Revanth Reddy further explained, “As the Head of the Telangana State government, I, in line with the federal spirit, have submitted petitions to the Union Ministers and the Prime Minister for the sanction of Hyderabad Metro Phase-II, the Central Cabinet approval for the northern part of RRR, the sanction of the southern part, the sanction of the Regional Ring Rail Project, the revival of Musi, and the sanction of the greenfield road from dry port to sea port. We also came forward to bear expenses.” “I personally discussed with you and submitted letters on all these projects. Since 2019, you are continuing in the Union Cabinet from Telangana. Currently, you are a Union Cabinet Minister. It is your moral responsibility to obtain approvals and grant funds for the projects proposed by the State government for the benefit of the State,” he said. “I have publicly announced this many times. While you are a Union Minister, the Union government approved the expansion of the metro in Chennai and Bangalore. Even though we have appealed to you many times for the expansion of the Hyderabad metro for the last one year, we have not seen any progress. I have informed you about the same. As a Union Minister and BJP leader, you have made many announcements on the revival of the Sabarmati in Gujarat and the Ganga river in North India,” Revanth Reddy. He said, “While praising the revival, you have written articles in newspapers, but spewing venom on the revival of Musi River in Telangana. This is a completely double-minded attitude. You are completely negligent in getting Central cabinet approval for the northern part of RRR apart from sanctioning its southern part, regional ring railway line, and green field road from dry port to sea port.”
