Revanth Raking up Modi Caste to Divert From Public Issues: Arvind

Nizamabad: BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri on Sunday alleged that Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy deliberately raised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s caste to divert public attention from pressing state problems. “He is trying to politicise caste and religious matters ahead of local body elections,” Dharmapuri said at a meeting held at the BJP district office. “As Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy should not target Prime Minister Modi in this manner,” he added. The gathering was organised in support of BJP MLC candidates Anji Reddy (Graduates’ constituency) and Malka Komuraiah (Teachers’ constituency). Dharmapuri further claimed that the Congress government had failed to implement ‘Hydraa operations’ in Hyderabad’s Old City and alleged that electricity bills were not being collected in Muslim-majority areas.Meanwhile, BJP Rajya Sabha member and OBC Morcha national president K. Laxman criticised the caste census in Telangana, claiming it was introduced to benefit Muslims. “Are there Backward Classes among Muslims?” he asked, adding that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy realized the census had loopholes and ordered a re-survey. Laxman also stated that the upcoming MLC elections could significantly alter the political landscape in the state.BJP district president K. Dinesh Kumar, Adilabad MP G. Nagesh, and MLAs Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta and Paidi Rakesh Reddy were among those present at the event.
