Chennai: Family card holders and those living in the rehabilitation camps for Sri Lankan Tamils will get a Pongal gift hamper comprising a kilo of raw rice, a kilo of sugar and a full length sugar cane, the State government announced on Saturday. The government move will cost Rs 249.76 crore and benefit 2,20,94,584 families, the release said.
