Vijayawada:Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed the East Godavari district collector to conduct a ground-level inspection of schools, hospitals, hostels, drinking water and sanitation facilities in 52-gram panchayats across three mandals of his Pithapuram constituency.Pawan Kalyan is keen on resolving the public issues in his constituency at the earliest.He recently instructed officials to identify key issues faced by residents and submit a report. District officials launched a comprehensive inspection across Pithapuram, U Kothapalli, and Gollaprollu mandals. Pawan Kalyan said he would take decisions on their recommendations soon and action would follow.Meanwhile, the Deputy CM who handles the forest and environment department, ordered an inquiry into some corruption allegations against Kakinada DFO Ravindranath Reddy. He said strict action will be taken if any corruption was committed “in my name or in the name of my office.”According to the complaint, Ravindranath Reddy, who recently took charge as Kakinada forest department officer, has imposed some restrictions on mining vehicles.It is said he has close relations with the deputy CM and top officials in his cell. He allegedly threatened the mining and forest department officials by mentioning their names. The deputy CM got to know of this, got angry and ordered an investigation.
