VIJAYAWADA: The NTR district police have made it very clear that no permission has been given to carry out public rallies and other activities in Vijayawada as Section 144 CrPC and Section 30 of the Police Act were in force in Vijayawada. There is no permission for CPS employees to rally on September 1 in Vijayawada.

In the wake of the Contributory Pension Scheme Employees Union and other employees’ unions having given a call to hold a protest in Vijayawada city on September 1, the police have intensified searches in lodges, hotels, and other places as Section 144 is being implemented strictly.

There is information that there was a breach of security in Vijayawada city during the upcoming CPS protest programme and with the information that some anti-social forces are making efforts to disrupt the peace and security, NTR District Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata issued orders to check all the lodges and hotels in the city.
