Nadiu mentally preparing people on welfare schemes: YSRC

Kakinada: Former minister and YSRC Kakinada district president Kurasala Kannababu on Sunday criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for mentally preparing people to accept that welfare schemes are not his priority.Speaking to reporters here, he charged Chandrababu Naidu with doublespeak, who does not stick to his words. He pointed out that the TDP chief is now praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the victory in Delhi elections. But, he said, between 2018 and 2019 Chandrababu had criticised Narendra Modi in an open letter and at various public meetings.Kannababu said similarly, the Chief Minister has changed his tone with regard to Arvind Kejriwal, whom Chandrababu had praised when the former came to Visakhapatnam as chief minister of Delhi. “The AP CM is now criticising Kejriwal,” the YSRC leader pointed out.The former minister said the hidden message is that Chandrababu is preparing people to accept that welfare is not a priority but wealth creation is.“Before elections, the TDP chief harped on Super Six and other welfare schemes. After assuming power, he is pitching in the story that welfare is secondary and wealth creation is primary,” Kannababu underlined. He remarked that wealth creation is very selective for Chandrababu, limiting it to his own people. He pointed out that revenue from sand, liquor and other sectors has fallen. “This shows there is no financial discipline in the CM’s model of governance,” the YSRC leader remarked.
