Hyderabad: Muslims wore black ribbons and offered special prayers at Mecca Masjid in protest against the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. A large number of people gathered in response to the call given by AIMIM President and MP Asaduddin Owaisi to condemn the attack. After the prayers, a brief rally was held, during which participants raised slogans against Pakistan and chanted “Hindustan Zindabad.”Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi distributed black ribbons before namaz at a mosque in Shastri Puram. He himself wore a black ribbon on his arm and took part in the prayers. In view of the special prayers and public gathering, police security was deployed in and around Charminar and Mecca Masjid to maintain peace and order.
