Hyderabad: A 22-year-old man died by suicide at his house in Kalandernagar, reportedly after the parents of his girlfriend harassed him and the police called him for questioning, Santoshnagar police said.Police said that when he learnt of the affair, the girl’s father Mohammed Abid Ali went to the house of the Mohammed Imran, the victim, reportedly to discuss the issue. The same day his girlfriend lodged a complaint with the Chandryangutta police stating that Imran was harassing her.After the police summoned Imran in the case, he returned home and reportedly died by suicide. In his suicide note, Imram reportedly urged the police to take action against her family, and held her father responsible for the suicide.Santoshnagar police registered a case and began investigations. Abid Ali reportedly informed the police that his family had refused to marry their daughter to Imran.
