Karimnagar: The Maghamasa jatara started on Wednesday at Sri Seetha Rama Temple in Mamidipalli village, Konaraopet mandal. Devotees thronged the temple, seeking blessings and performing rituals.Temple priest Krishna explained the jatara’s spiritual importance, stating that devotees believe prayers and a holy bath on Mauni Amavasya bring prosperity and good fortune. Worshippers began arriving Tuesday night, offering prayers to Lord Sri Seetha Rama.Authorities ensured smooth proceedings, with elaborate arrangements made under the guidance of executive officer K. Vinod Reddy of Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Temple, Vemulawada.Tight police security was deployed, led by inspector N. Narendra and ASI Prashanth Reddy, to maintain order at the temple premises.Temple officials, including AEOs G. Shravan, B. Srinivas, DE Mahipal Reddy, AE Ramakrishna Rao, and superviser Venkata Prasad, were present to oversee the event.
