CM Devendra Fadnavis said that Kunal Kamra has full right and freedom to do the comedy but he has to do it within the limit and constitutional framework, he cannot insult the former Chief Minister Eknath Shinde whom people have given the mandate to come back in power. He said they will not tolerate the insult of any leader. “Kunal Kamra has shown the constitution book saying he has the right to speak because of the constitution. But Kamra should read the constitution where it has also mentioned that you have freedom of speech and writing, but it should extend to insult anyone. He cannot encroach over anyone’s freedom. Therefore, we demand an apology from him,” CM Fadnavis said.“Karma should know that in 2024, people will be shown who are traitors and not traitors. Who is the real ideological heir of late Balasaheb Thackeray? So, low level, insulting comedy should not be used against DCM Eknath Shinde at all. We are against it,” Fadnavis warned.Reacting to this snowballing controversy, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray said that he Mindhe’s (Shinde and his Sena) coward gang breaks the comedy show stage where comedian @kunalkamra88 put out a song on eknath mindhe which was 100% true. “Only an insecure coward would react to a song by someone. Btw law and order in the state? Another attempt to undermine the CM and Home Minister by Eknath mindhe,” Thackeray posted.
