Loopholes in police version; Altaf's father says he is illiterate, police wrote settlement letter

Another sensational revelation has come to light in this case. The girl whom Altaf was accused of luring and taking away, belongs to the majority community. Earlier it was said that Altaf had gone to the girl’s house for tiling work. After the girl left the house, her family suspected that their girl had gone with Altaf and her information was given to the police. According to the information given by Inspector Kasganj Ajay Sirohi, a case under section 363 and 366 was registered against Altaf and an unknown person in Kotwali. But Altaf’s aunt revealed that Altaf had nothing to do with the girl. He was at home only and did not go anywhere from there. This allegation itself is false and cost him his life. The police have not been able to trace the girl yet. Another important aspect of the case is that one of the family members, Azad Hakim, has alleged that Altaf was severely beaten up out of malice.Samajwadi Party spokesperson and resident of Kasganj, Abdul Hafeez Gandhi also visited the family. He said that the police version of the entire incident is full of loopholes. While the suicide by Altaf does not look logical and convincing, the clean chit given by his father to the police in the case also raises many questions. The most relevant of these doubts is – Altaf’s father is completely illiterate and the language of the letter seems to be written some expert as if it has been written by a police officer or a lawyer! Then the thumb impression was put on. The police have tried to suppress the matter. Besides, the picture is not clear as regards to the compensation received by Chand Mian. Usually compensation amount is given by cheque and it has not been received as yet. This matter is very serious, because amid all this, the hope of justice to the weak and the poor has been crushed.
