Jocelyn Wildenstein, famous for her “Catwoman” appearance obtained via plastic surgery, has died at the age of 84. According to PEOPLE, her boyfriend, Lloyd Klein, said she died in her sleep on New Year’s Eve 2024 while taking a nap. Klein told the outlet that she had phlebitis. “Because of her phlebitis, the legs were very, very swollen, and the blood was blocked, and there was no oxygen in the brain,” he said. “And we were having a nap and when I wake up, I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to wake up, we have to get dressed,’ and she was cold and she was dead.” The Times reported her cause of death to be a pulmonary embolism. The duo was in Paris.

Who is Jocelyn Wildenstein’s Boyfriend, Lloyd Klein?
According to Comingsoon.net, Klein is a fashion designer hailing from Paris, France. He holds an architecture degree from École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, and worked in New York as an architect before turning his attention to fashion. He has his own label, and per the outlet, his fashions have been donned by A-listers including the late Natalie Nicole, Nicki Minaj, and Paula Abdul, among others.

Klein and Wildenstein met at Fashion Week in 2003, and in 2017, they announced their engagement after 14 years of dating. According to the Daily Mail, Klein popped the question with a dramatic, 32-carat diamond ring. The big moment took place at the Versace mansion in Miami. “It was romantic, dramatic and wonderful,” he told the outlet at the time. “I showed Jocelyn the ring and she said ‘yes!’ – she was in heaven.”
The couple never got around to making it official, and Klein shared his devastation at her death in comments published January 1. “It’s very sad. It’s extremely sad,” he told PEOPLE. “It’s extremely sad to lay down with your other half that I know for 21 years and waiting to celebrate New Year’s Eve and to find her cold.”
