Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao’s attempt to criticise the Revanth Reddy government boomeranged on him reflecting poorly on the plight of farmers under the BRS dispensation.As part of the BRS’ attempt to slander the government using social media, Rama Rao shared on his X account a video on the problems being faced by chilli farmers in Khammam district. In the video, farmer Chintiryala Koteswara Rao from Namavaram village in Khammam district was expressing his concerns in the chilli market yard. However, the BRS working president soon realised that the video was old and the issue raised in the video was about 2018 when the K. Chandrashekhar Rao regime was in power. Realising his folly, Rama Rao immediately deleted his post. But it was too late and his comments had already gone viral. Congress leaders criticised Rama Rao saying that if they wanted to spread false propaganda and discredit the government, it would only boomerang on him.
