Karimnagar collector issues memos to six officials

Karimnagar: Karimnagar district collector Pamela Satpathy issued memos to six officials following an incident earlier this week, in which a security gunman of minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy was pushed to the ground by a milling crowd during the visit of Union minister M.L. KhattarThe officials who received the memos include the ACP, SC Corporation ED, district youth and sports officer, district welfare officer, DEO and DRDO.Following the incident, Srinivas Reddy expressed his anger at the security lapse and negligence of officials. In a widely circulated video, the minister is heard remarking: “What is this nonsense? Do they have any common sense?”The collector sought an explanation from the officials concerned to clarify on the security arrangements and to prevent such incidents in the future.
