Jubilee Hills BRS MLA Gopinath faces ire of Congress corporators, activists

Hyderabad: Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath faced ire of Congress corporators here on Saturday for allegedly committing irregularities in distributing ‘Kalyana Lakshmi’ and Shaadi-Mubarak’ cheques to beneficiaries. When Congress corporators and activists raised slogans denouncing MLA’s alleged role in irregularities, Gopinath was forced to leave the Khairatabad MRO office when he was distributing ‘Kalyana Lakshmi’ and ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ cheques. Both Borabanda corporator Baba Fasiuddin and Rehamathnagar corporator CN Reddy, who joined Congress dumping BRS, shooed away the MLA from MRO office for committing irregularities in the same scheme during BRS regime. Sensing that the situation might go out of control as the MLA’s followers too started raising slogans, the police intervened and dispersed them.
