Since the conflict ignited on October 7, 2023, CPJ’s preliminary investigations reveal that at least 85 journalists and media workers have lost their lives, with 78 Palestinians, 4 Israelis, and 3 Lebanese individuals among the casualties.The toll on journalists is part of a broader count exceeding 28,000 deaths since the conflict’s commencement, with over 27,000 in Gaza and the West Bank and 1,200 in Israel.
