Invest Karnataka targets Rs.10 lakh crore investments: Dy CM Shivakumar

Bengaluru: While assuring necessary support for investors in Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister Shivakumar on Monday stated the ensuing Invest Karnataka-2025, a global investors meet, from February 11 to 14 has garnered as many as 3 lakh crore investments assurance as on today and the target expected from investors meet is about Rs 10 lakh crore.The Invest Karnataka-2025 at Bengaluru Palace grounds will also be an occasion for the State Government to unveil its new industrial policy 2025-30, he said after a meeting on the preparations to host Invest Karnataka in Vidhana Soudha.Assuring needed support for investors, Shivakumar said to initiate steps to keep the confidence of investors in Karnataka help them thrive and create more employment opportunities. Adding, he said, with it “Bengaluru will be the best destination for investments globally.”To draw investors to Karnataka, he said, Minister of Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil visited many foreign countries and conducted roadshows to highlight the State’s potential for investments, human resources available, culture of the land, conducive atmosphere among other factors.As many as 18 countries have assured their participation to the event while 9 countries will set-up their pavilions to highlight their countries potential, it is expected that about 2,000 important investors will be drawn to the event besides 10 top industrial captains would attend while 60 personalities will share their views on investments/businesses. As many as 85 stalls and technical sessions will also be part of the investors meet.Sharing his views of the upcoming event in Bengaluru, M.B. Patil said the Invest Karnataka-2025 will have a touch of the World Economic Forum event held in Davos and theme is ‘reimaging growth’ and the event will be tech driven, green, inclusive and resilient.Top industrialists of the country such as Kumar Mangalam Birla of Aditya Birla Group, Anand Mahindra, Kiran Shaw Majumdar among others have assured their participation in the investors meet in Bengaluru.Patil said the new industrial policy to be unveiled at the event will focus on drawing investments beyond Bengaluru.
