New Delhi: A day after a powerful dust storm swept through the national capital, causing flight delays and diversions, IndiGo Airlines has issued a travel advisory cautioning passengers flying in and out of Delhi to expect continued disruptions.The advisory, released on Saturday, comes in the wake of adverse weather conditions that affected operations at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Thursday evening and Friday morning. The dust storm led to several delays and forced multiple flights to be diverted, triggering airside congestion.“While weather conditions in Delhi have improved, airside congestion continues to impact flight operations to/from Delhi. We encourage you to regularly check your flight status for the latest updates,” IndiGo said in the statement, posted on X.The airline further advised passengers that, in case of cancellations, they can easily reschedule their travel or claim a refund through its website. IndiGo also assured that ground teams are actively assisting affected travellers and working to ensure a smoother experience during the disruptions.“We sincerely appreciate your continued patience and support as we work to get you to your destination smoothly,” the airline added.
