Hyderabad: The north zone task force and Mahankali police busted a gang of six who had, since 2015, fabricated and sold an estimated 50,000 fake voter ID cards, 30,000 Aaadhar cards, 1,250 fake passports, 2,000 birth certificates and other bogus documentsOn Thursday, police seized from the gang, Rs.1.5 lakh cash, 557 fake voter ID cards, 300 fake attested papers, 180 signature forms, 40 fake Aadhaar cards, 50 fake birth certificates, 100 pre-printed birth certificates as well as fake documents to obtain passports, biometric instrument for Aadhaar corrections and other material, according to task force DCP Y.V.S. Sudheendra.Police identified the accused as Yelgam Raj Kumar, Md Mahboob, Rachamalla Vijayalaxmi, Kurapati Pallavi, Bandi Shankar and Giriraj Anil Kumar.According to the police, Raj Kumar, the prime accused, was the managing director of RS Online Service Centre and was assisted by the other accused in preparing the fake documents.The accused were handed over to Mahankali police and later remanded to Chanchalguda central prison.
