Nellore: In a tragic turn of events, a young woman from Giddalur in the Prakasam district, who had moved to Germany in pursuit of higher education, died due to cancer last Monday. The deceased, Rehana Begum, 27, daughter of retired teacher Sheikh Mahaboob Basha from Kanchipalle village in Giddalur mandal, had moved to Germany in 2022 with dreams of completing her master’s degree in biomedical engineering. She was studying in the town of Aalen.However, for the past 22 months, Rehana had been battling blood cancer, her father revealed. Despite her courageous fight, her health deteriorated rapidly and she passed away last Monday. Her mortal remains reached Hyderabad on Sunday. Family members brought the body to Kanchipalle and performed the final rites on Monday. The untimely death of young Rehana Begum cast a shadow of grief over the entire village.
