Visakhapatnam: At a time when the Tirupati laddu controversy is ongoing in the state, officials have seized ghee from the Simhachalam Devasthanam after conducting checks on Sunday. Food Security Officer Apparao stated that they have seized 945 kilos of ghee during searches on the temple premises. He mentioned that the ghee was supplied by Eluru District Farmers’ Dairy. Samples of the ghee, as well as other materials used in making laddus, have been sent to the laboratory for testing. Action will be taken once the lab reports are received, the official added.
