Google has extended Gemini Live’s camera and screen sharing features to all Android users for free. Initially, it was available only on Pixel 9, Samsung S25 devices, and for users with a Gemini Advanced subscription.“We’ve been hearing great feedback on Gemini Live with camera and screen share, so we decided to bring it to more people. Starting today and over the coming weeks, we’re rolling it out to all @Android users with the Gemini app. Enjoy!” Google said in a post on X.This feature can see and respond to what’s on the user’s camera and screen. It will be available through the Gemini app for free.Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, is set to replace Google Assistant on Android devices later this year. Google announced that more users on mobile devices will be upgraded from Google Assistant to Gemini in the coming months. As a result, Google Assistant will no longer be accessible on mobile devices or available for download later this year.Earlier, Microsoft also expanded its Copilot Vision feature to Windows and mobile platforms, which was previously limited to webpages viewed in Microsoft Edge.Copilot Vision can analyze real-time video from mobile cameras, enabling the AI assistant to offer tips to users.The tech giant has rolled out Copilot Vision inside the Copilot app for iOS and Android, and it will soon be available on Windows as well.Microsoft is updating the Copilot app on Windows to support Copilot Vision, allowing the AI assistant to analyze images that users are viewing, according to a report by The Verge.
