Shahpur: Four people were killed in a fatal road accident on the Shahpur-Jevargi National Highway on Thursday night, when a KSRTC bus collided head-on with a Bolero pickup between Aralahalli Cross and Maddaraki Cross.According to police, the accident occurred when the Bolero pickup, while overtaking another vehicle on a bridge, crashed into the oncoming KSRTC bus. Three passengers in the Bolero died on the spot, while a fourth succumbed to injuries at the hospital. All the deceased were residents of Varkanalli and have been identified as Sharanappa (30), the driver of the Bolero, Somavva (50), Tangamma (55), and Sunita (19). A case has been registered at B-Gudi police station under sections 281, 125A, 125B, and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
