Former MLA Konappa quits Congress

Hyderabad: Former MLA Koneru Konappa quit Congress and extended support to BSP candidate Prasanna, who is contesting Graduates MLC elections. Konappa decided to stay away from Congress due to conflicts between the leaders in Sirpur Assembly constituency in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. Konappa joined the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on March 2024. He lost Telangana Assembly elections held in December 2023. BJP’s candidate Palvai Harish Babu won the elections from the constituency with a majority of 3088 votes defeating Konappa.
