Vijayawada: The floodwater level that had receded in the colonies and areas submerged due to the overflowing of the Budameru stream has started to rise again after inflows in the stream gradually increased since Thursday night. On Friday, the water level in areas like Ajith Singhnagar, Kandrika, and Payakapuram increased by two to three feet, following the recent recession of floodwaters over the past two days. Houses in the village were also inundated after the floodwaters once again entered the area.In response, authorities intensified relief and rehabilitation efforts, providing food, water and other essentials to the affected people, along with distributing free ration kits. Meanwhile, power supply was restored in most areas where the water-level had completely receded.
