A significant fire broke out at the MahaKumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, though there have been no reports of casualties. The blaze originated in Sector 19 of the Mela’s tent city and was reportedly triggered by the explosion of cooking gas cylinders. As a result, around 20 to 25 tents were destroyed in the fire.In response to the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath promptly took cognizance and directed local authorities to ensure the safety of all attendees. Fire tenders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and the fire has since been brought under control. Senior officers are on-site, following the Chief Minister’s directives.
