RANCHI: The Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday conducted raids at a dozen locations linked to Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav and a few other real estate developers and contractors. ED sources said the raids were being conducted on the basis of inputs provided by the Income Tax department following raids conducted by it earlier at the official and residential premises of the two Congress MLAs, Kumar Jaimangal and Pradeep Yadav in November last year.
The two agencies, IT and ED, had simultaneously carried raids at multiple locations in Jharkhand and Bengal in November last year. Kumar Jaimangal, who is into the coal trade, is under suspicion for tax evasion while Pradeep Yadav is said to have acquired landed properties in Godda and Ranchi which don’t match with the income that he has revealed. The ED on Tuesday conducted raids at four locations in Ranchi and eight locations in Deoghar, Godda and Dumka.
