Hyderabad: An engineering college student was raped by a car driver in her hostel room at Ibrahimpatnam, the police said. Though the incident occurred on January 15, it came to light on Thursday after she lodged a complaint with the police. The girl went to her native place after the college declared holidays in connection with Sankranti. However, she returned to her hostel to attend a semester exam at the college. Upon knowing that the girl was alone at the hostel, the driver entered her room and violated her. The accused was working as a car driver with a real-estate agent whose office was near the hostel, according to police.
